At St Clements, we strive to create the very best menu possible – focussing on seasonality, quality and provenance.

We seek out the best available produce and do our utmost to support small farms and local producers – people who are experts in their craft and love food as much as we do.
As you can imagine, identifying these fantastic suppliers and sourcing our ingredients from them requires a lot of hard work and effort…. and that is before we even start cooking! We believe it is worth it and that you can truly taste the difference in our food. We hope that you agree.

St Clements Cafe

Our eggs

We are the only café to use ‘Tilly’s Traditional’ eggs. These beautiful pastel eggs – named after Richard & Wendy’s daughter – are laid by very happy chickens who roam freely on Home Farm, Moreton Pinkey. Richard’s farm also supplies us with cultivated mushrooms and Portobello mushrooms. Home Farm eggs and mushrooms can be found at Pimlico, Notting Hill and Marylebone London Farmers Markets and the beautiful eggs are also for sale in boxes on our counter.

Our artisan bread

Our Bread comes from Bread Bread bakery in Brixton, experts in artisan sourdough bread. All of their bread is made with English, stone-ground, organic flour free-from additives and improvers. Their 24 hour fermentation process is key to better digestibility and flavour. The resulting soft, chewy textured bread and caramelized crust tastes as good as it sounds. As well as serving their Sourdough and Seeded Rye bread, it’s also often for sale on our counter.

St Clements Cafe

Our slowly-reared,
free-range meat

Our naturally reared free range chickens, bacon and sausage meat come from the acclaimed Ginger Pig farms. At their farms in North Yorkshire and Wiltshire they slowly rear, free-range, outdoor pigs to produce the best-tasting, higher welfare pork. ‘At the heart of everything we do is good animal husbandry and welfare; livestock that is looked after well in the field simply tastes better on the plate’

St Clements Cafe

Our seasonal fruit, vegetables and salad

We buy English apples and pears, summer berries, salad leaves and most of our juicing ingredients from Chegworth Valley – a family owned fruit farm in Kent. For other vegetables, fruits and salads we use Rushtons – London’s best wholesale greengrocer. In the warmer months Isle of Wight’s Tomato Stall supply us with their outstanding tomatoes.

St Clements Cafe

Our artisan, farmhouse cheese and butter

Our Glastonbury Farm Butter, Ragstone goats’ cheese, Westcombe cheddar, and Feta come from Neal’s Yard Dairy, experts in all things dairy and excellent cheese mongers, sourcing the finest cheese from across the British Isles and ‘maturing them until peak deliciousness’

St Clements Cafe

Our milk

Our milk comes from The Estate Dairy based in the idyllic Chew Valley in Somerset. Produced by a small organic, free-range Guernsey herd, the milk is non-homogenized, naturally high in protein and a truly natural product.

St Clements Cafe

Our chocolate

We use Ecuadorian Hacienda Limon 85% chocolate from award winning Pump Street Chocolate in Suffolk both for our hot chocolate and baking. The flavour is unbelievable. Pump Street Chocolate are fast becoming recognized as one of the best chocolatiers in the UK.

St Clements Cafe

Our coffee

Our single origin coffee is hand roasted to order by Cast Iron Roasters in West Sussex. They use only responsibly and sustainably sourced coffee from single estates across the globe according to the seasons – it is traceable and delicious!

St Clements Cafe

Our preserves

We make our own jam and marmalade using the best seasonal fruits. We are very proud that in 2020 our Seville orange marmalade was awarded Bronze, and our Seville orange & cardamom awarded Highly Commended at the acclaimed International Marmalade awards at Dalemain Estate, which saw over three thousand entries from 40 countries. Our marmalade is also available to buy on the counter.

“What an amazing find! Discovered this fantastic little gem this weekend on a trip to London with old friends. We were spoilt for choice for brunch options but the friendly staff recommended the Vegan Chilli and the Baked Eggs. Amazing!! Great atmosphere, top-notch service and outrageously tasty food.”
